Fulfilling the call to be missionaries
Although Missio Scotland has a small, but dedicated staff, we—like many other charities—would find it difficult to carry out our work without the support of volunteers.
With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer, however, the benefits of volunteering can be enormous. It can help you to play a fuller part in your faith community, learn new skills and has also been proven to have health benefits. Giving of yourself to others in even simple ways can help those in need and improve your health and happiness.
By volunteering with Missio Scotland you will allow us to continue to offer vital help and support to people in 160 countries and 1100 dioceses worldwide and by supporting Missio Scotland, you will be directly helping the Church to give life and hope to people all over the world and fulfilling the call to be missionaries, which is an integral part of our faith.
Whether young or old you can volunteer with Missio Scotland. Perhaps you’ve experience in the field of Catholic education and can help us increase our outreach to schools? Maybe you have experience of working in an office environment and feel that we can use your skills to that end? Do you have a flair for fundraising? Could you perhaps be a parish contact for us?
Whatever your age, skills or experience we would be delighted to have you on board as part of our team so get in touch with us today and proclaim your faith not only through your words, but also your actions and lives.
